In view of the changed conditions in North

China I have now consented to recognise the nominee of

the Canton Government, Mr.Kong Siu-lui, as Superintendent

of the Chinese Telegraph Office in Hong Kong and have

caused the former Superintendent, Mr. Lau Cheuk-pan, to be

informed accordingly. Mr.Kong is now engaged in taking

over the management of the Office.
